When I met with Kiera she mentioned wanting wildflowers at the location of her shoot. I started to tell her that wildflowers were done for the season (since this was at the start of September) but stopped myself when I remembered a location a photo friend of mine shared with me. It was at an animal sanctuary in Eagle Mountain. The owners had planted a beautiful cut garden and were selling bouquets among other things to raise money to take care of the animals. They had just rescued a bunch of chickens from a cock fighting situation and needed to raise money for a coop, so they opened up their property to photographers with a shooting fee of $20. Not only did it have beautiful and colorful flowers like Kiera wanted, but it was also raising money to help the animals. Win win! We thought we might get rained out at the session, but we ended up with a golden, vibrant sunset that was perfect for Kiera and her fun personality. We had such a wonderful evening shooting amongst the flowers and the sounds of all the animals. Not to mention having Mom get misty eyed while watching her baby take senior pictures and get ready for this next step in her life. Kiera and her mom, Joni are some of the most wonderful clients I have ever had! I just wanted to hang out with them all night and be best friends! I am in love with Kiera's senior pictures and can't wait for what is next for her life! Congrats Kiera!
