The blossoms at the State Capital are a fickle beast that I love shooting at. Ha! Since they are the first set of flowers that set off the domino of spring blooms - if you're too early, everything is dead looking, too late and it's still pretty, but everything is still waking up from winter. I was so lucky that with all my rescheduling I was able to photograph three times at the capital this year. I've been photographing the Morgans since I was pregnant with Jones - which was over five years ago! I've loved seeing their family grow and the kids develop their personalities. It's families like these that make me so thankful for my regulars. We shot up at the capital on a weekday (after a few reschedules due to weather and upset tummies) and it was perfect. We were just coming off of a big storm that scared most of the usual capital frequenters away and we had lots of room to work with. Working with the Morgans is always so chill that I was able to try out a lot of new games and prompts on the kids to make it more fun and have more natural interaction. Worked like a charm - and was a welcoming distraction from the chilly wind that kept zipping through the trees. I 100% over shot more than I needed to, but we were all just having a blast! So let me just apologize now for the photo dump you're about to get! I love these pictures so much and can't wait to use their session to update some samples of mine!
