Albion Basin in full bloom is literally one of my favorite places on Earth. With little man being due right around peak bloom I had come to terms with not shooting there this year. But then Remington came a week early and the flowers held on longer than I anticipated and I was itching to get out of the house and into the canyons for some nature therapy. Luckily my little sister is a senior this year and she had told me she wanted some senior pictures in flowers - if we could swing it. So I picked her up one morning and we ran away (with my boys and Danny in tow) to the mountains. It was a cloudy but bright morning, which played to our advantage since I was running a bit late. (having a baby literally weeks before will throw all the wrenches in all the "on time" plans you have.) The mountain air was so cool - which was a welcoming feeling after being 9 months pregnant in the heat of summer! Hailey and I wandered and explored the trails since this was my first time up there that year. The forrest rangers had made clear, distinct and roped off trails for people to meander through. They're trying to get the bald spots back to their luscious and full flowering selves. It was excellent sister bonding as we found clumps of pretty flowers to shoot by and amazing views to enjoy. I will never get tired of seeing just how green it is up there! This Oregonian craves the green. We weren't up there long - especially since my body was like, "what the heck are you doing!?" but we got so many cute shots! Enjoy!
